THE SHORT VERSION

The Amodei siblings drew $18M and $16.5M — and $600B+ in chip costs loom

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and his sister, company president Daniela Amodei, each drew a base salary of roughly $655,000 in 2025, according to the company's draft IPO prospectus. Stock and option awards brought Dario's total compensation to about $18 million and Daniela's to roughly $16.5 million.

Those packages sit near the S&P 500 median for chief executives but below the median for the index's technology companies. Both co-founders have pledged 80% of their stakes to philanthropy, and the prospectus shows they could receive more equity if certain milestones are reached.

The pay figures appear in the same filing that commits Anthropic to more than $600 billion in future cloud computing and chip-leasing costs, with another $150 billion in deals under negotiation.
