THE CONVNET PIONEER BETTING AGAINST THE LLM CONSENSUS

LeCun made convnets practical, built NYU's data-science program, founded Facebook's AI lab — and spent a decade arguing for open research and world models (his JEPA — joint-embedding predictive architecture — is the flagship bet).
