THE SHORT VERSION

Google's AI video maker now does 15-second clips — for 30% less

Google rolled out Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash on November 5, generally available across the Gemini API and Gemini for business. The video model now generates and edits clips natively up to 15 seconds long, up from 10 seconds in Omni 1.1, with durations settable in one-second steps from 3 to 15 seconds, plus multi-turn conversational editing and stronger reference following.

Google cut the price 30% from Omni 1.1, to $0.07 per second for 720p video — about $1.05 for a full 15-second clip. Outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark, and Google says fast sports action, rapid script changes and complex physics remain works in progress.
