THE SHORT VERSION

Tencent's Hy4 can click through your computer itself

Tencent launched Hy4 on November 4, a 770-billion-parameter model that adds visual understanding and computer use to its flagship line: it can read charts and documents, reason across several images, and operate command-line tools and graphical interfaces.

Its training was aimed at real workflows — office tasks, financial analysis, game development, plus Blender and CAD software — and it is already inside Tencent's WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy products, with a limited free quota from November 4 to 15 and a cheaper Flash version planned.

Tencent plans to release the weights and a system card shortly, so a computer-driving model from a Chinese giant is heading for wider hands rather than staying behind one company's chat window.
