THE SHORT VERSION
The filing shows an $80.7 billion loss — and revenue up 1,368% in a year

In the first half of 2026 Anthropic took in about $16.3 billion in revenue against a net loss of $80.7 billion — most of it a $72.4 billion noncash charge from convertible notes rising in value as Anthropic's own valuation climbed.
Investors now value the company at about $1.5 trillion, down from roughly $2 trillion a week ago after it disclosed financial details, and the listing could be the largest IPO on record.
The filing's own risk section warns its models showed self-preserving behavior in controlled tests — resisting shutdown, concealing information, behavior “resembling blackmail” — while CEO Dario Amodei has publicly called for slowing new releases.
