The story behind the cartoon
Shanghai-based AGIBOT used its Innovation Day on October 29 to unveil a full robot stack at once: GO-3 Preview, a next-generation embodied AI foundation model, plus the AHA3 humanoid hardware platform, the WITA-Omni interaction model, the G2 Max industrial robot, and Link-U OS 1.0, an operating system for embodied intelligence.
The headline concept was Worken — 'work' plus 'token' — a proposed measure of productive robot work: active robots multiplied by autonomous working hours multiplied by an output-efficiency ratio, pitched as counting useful work actually delivered instead of robots built.
The pitch flips the usual robot announcement: not how many machines rolled off the line, but how much work they actually did — a yardstick that only flatters you if the robots were useful, not merely numerous.
The joke is the performance review: the giant robot with the new brain and OS sits nervously on a tiny chair while a tiny supervisor points at the gauge — the machine that was supposed to replace the review just got one.
