    THE AI STUDENT ENDS UP CHASING CONSCIOUSNESS

    After studying experimental psychology at Cambridge and then cognitive science and AI at Sussex, Seth completed a Sussex DPhil in 2000. His doctoral work used evolutionary robotics and theoretical biology, but he later described consciousness as the problem he had wanted to return to.
