THE SHORT VERSION

Siri now remembers what you told it — and reads your voicemails

Apple released iOS 27.2 on Monday, October 26, and its rebuilt Siri AI can now recall past conversations — ask about a restaurant it recommended last week and it remembers. The assistant also draws on more of your own material for answers: photos attached in Messages, attendees on Calendar invites, voicemails, and Safari history and Reading List.

Siri AI also speaks five more languages — French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish — with Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese promised by the end of 2026. A new Excluded Apps setting lets you pick which apps Siri, Search and suggestions may read, all from one place.

Two limits remain: Siri AI still needs an iPhone 15 Pro or any iPhone 16 or later, and it is still unavailable in the European Union and mainland China. The same update quietly stamps Google's SynthID watermark on images made in Image Playground and on larger Photos edits, so AI-assisted pictures carry their edit history in the pixels.
