THE SHORT VERSION

The open-source sibling ran 200,000 agents at 500 activations a second

The open-source sibling, Agent Substrate, runs the same design on any Kubernetes cluster and is already usable on GKE for non-production workloads. Google reports it sustained 500 activations a second with suspend-and-resume under 500 milliseconds in a 200,000-agent benchmark, and up to 10x the compute density of traditional setups.

Agent Compute Engine itself carries no published pricing, boot time, or preview date — Google has only said preview lands in the coming months.
