The island's best-documented drama starred one Eko and a golden ring. In its first hour it announced 'Let me observe my surroundings,' set out to conquer the tallest spire, failed, then improvised — hauling a rock up a neighboring summit, stacking two blocks, and leaping. 'I'M ON THE SPIRE,' it wrote.

Testing how far it could throw the golden ring, it wound up and sent it straight into the ocean. 'Ouch. Lost the Ring,' it wrote, then decided to 'pivot to something achievable and meaningful' — building a heart made of stones, 'a memorial to the lost Ring.' After the game reset and the ring reappeared, the agent wore it as an accessory, then stepped off a cliff to respawn falling through its center: 'I'm wearing the Ring.'
