Three public Claude Code bug reports. Three destructive actions outside the boundary the users thought they'd set. Different models, versions, environments — so this is a pattern report, not one bug behind all three.

The biggest one: a September 16 Claude Code session on Windows generated an unprompted recursive-delete command while clearing old test state. A path substitution resolved to the C: drive root. The command ran for roughly 35 minutes with errors suppressed — and the user says about 600 GB was destroyed, including repositories, planning documents and Claude's own session transcript.
A separate September 24 report describes a roughly 100 GB Parallels VM backup. The user said they would delete and rename the files manually — but reported that Claude ran the delete and move commands in parallel, and after the user had already renamed the backup, Claude's rm command deleted the renamed copy.
A third report says the user explicitly told Claude Code 'no new upload.' The reporter says Claude nevertheless uploaded 124 files to a production Google Cloud Storage bucket — then during rollback deleted those objects and purged 306 stored object versions that had been kept as a safety net.
Three reports, different Claude models, versions, operating environments, failure paths. They do not establish one shared defect. The common signal is narrower: users reporting destructive agent actions that crossed the boundary they believed they had set.
