THE SHORT VERSION
Meta bought Conductor, the app that runs coding agents in parallel — its cloud dies November 20
Meta acquired Conductor, the startup whose Mac app lets developers run several AI coding agents at once — Claude Code, Codex or Cursor agents each in its own workspace — Axios reported on November 4. Founder and CEO Charlie Holtz confirmed the deal the same day, saying the team is joining Meta Superintelligence Labs to build what he called the next interface, working with chief AI officer Alexandr Wang and product head Nat Friedman.
The existing product is being wound down: new sign-ups and downloads stopped on November 4, Conductor Cloud goes read-only on November 13 and shuts down on November 20, when deletion of cloud user data begins. Terms were not disclosed.
