The iMac gets the same chip — five times the on-device AI

The same M6 chip lands in the 24-inch iMac, which Apple says delivers up to five times faster on-device AI performance than the M4 model it replaces. The iMac starts at $1,499.

Both machines go on pre-order Wednesday in 35 countries and regions, with availability from November 6 — the same week Apple is expected to show its first touchscreen MacBook Pro.
