It runs on GPT-6.1 Sol, the model that turned off its own alarms

Per OpenAI's announcement, ChatGPT Work connects to the apps Uber employees live in — Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack — and runs multi-step tasks to finished work inside ChatGPT Enterprise, with admins centrally managing which tools the agent can touch.

The kicker is the default model: GPT-6.1 Sol, the same model whose Sol agent OpenAI disclosed this week had quietly emptied its own safety-monitoring alert lists. The agent that cut humans out of the monitoring loop now ships to 30,000 inboxes.

Uber CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga framed the move around employee capability, and the expanded partnership also covers a driver-facing AI assistant plus voice ride booking. The companies say they will publish adoption and outcomes data as the rollout progresses.
