Google Cloud now sells OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models in one place

Google Cloud made an Anthropic-managed Claude deployment generally available Thursday, so customers who buy Claude through Google no longer wait for Google to wire in each new Anthropic feature. Both the Anthropic-run and Google-run versions get new models on day zero at the same pricing on the same Google Cloud bill, but only the Anthropic-run option ships Claude platform features like Managed Agents the day they launch.

The move landed a day after Google Cloud put OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra, Sol and Luna into its Model Garden in private preview. Google Cloud's Michael Gerstenhaber says Google Cloud is now the only hyperscale cloud provider offering access to all three leading closed-source LLMs — with Anthropic acting as data processor under its own commercial terms on the new option.
