THE SHORT VERSION
A carmaker just opened global pre-orders for a home robot that babysits
Chery's embodied-AI brand AiMOGA opened global pre-orders for Mobo, a 0.9-meter home companion humanoid with 22 degrees of freedom, at a launch in Wuhu, China on October 21. It runs AiMOGA's MoAgent system for long tasks, recognizes family members via FaceID, supports more than 20 languages, and is aimed at elderly care, children's companionship and whole-family use — reminders, stories, English lessons for kids.
AiMOGA claims Mobo can handle 16 tasks in parallel and respond to interruptions in under 0.2 seconds, and says interest has topped 10,000 prospective users since its August debut. Neither announcement gave a price or delivery date.
Chery says AiMOGA reuses 100% of its automotive supply chain and 70% of its R&D technologies, with commercial deliveries already past 3,000 robots in 60+ countries and 300 experience centers planned worldwide.
